About Jason Catchings

Captain Jason Catchings has been a full-time professional hunting and fishing guide for 15 years. He continues to provide clients with world class hunting and fishing trips in Texas, Louisiana, and Mexico. At this point in time Jason has 8 full time hunting and fishing guides working for him on a daily basis. Jason provides well respected outdoor entertainment destinations for many corporate groups and individuals who are looking for great outdoor memories, food, accommodations, and fellowship.

His love for the outdoors started at early age when he tagged along on hunting and fishing trips with his father and grandfather throughout Texas and Louisiana. The decision to become a professional hunting and fishing guide was made easy after a bad family hunting and fishing trip with an experienced outfitter. At an early age of 16, Jason started guiding clients on waterfowl hunts on the World Famous Barrow Ranch in Anahuac, Texas and dove and deer hunts on the family ranch in South Texas. After graduating Texas A&M in 1997, the hunting and fishing business opportunities for Jason and his clients continues to grow on a yearly business.

He has continued his love for the outdoors and providing clients with one stop shopping for trips of a life-time for light tackle saltwater fishing for Speckled Trout, Redfish, Flounder, Tarpon, and Waterfowl, Dove, Quail, and White-tail deer hunts. Jason has expanded his love for the outdoors into the world of Professional Redfishing on the Oh Boy Oberto Redfish Cup on ESPN 2. In 2004 he expanded his love for the outdoors into the world of Professional Redfishing on the Oh Boy Oberto Redfish Cup on ESPN 2.

In 2006 he and his partner Tim Young finished in 4th place in the Team of the Year Standings out of 100 other teams. He won 3 events and had 4 top five finishes on the Redfish Cup to date. He has also won the Guides Cup in Southwest Louisiana three times since 2000.Captain Jason Catchings number one goal in the outdoor business is to provide clients with the trip of a lifetime and share his passion for the great outdoors.
